Information Regarding Accommodation Fee Payment for Spring Semester 2025, Please Read!
Dear students:
Tuition fee payment for Spring Semester 2025 starts on Feb. 1. Please pay attention to the following information regarding accommodation fee payment/refund:
- The Student Housing Service Division generated the accommodation fee for Spring Semester 2025 on January 9. For those who apply for dorm withdrawal after January 9, if the accommodation fee still appears on your tuition payment form, please do not proceed with payment. Please contact the Student Housing Service Division via email or phone to have the accommodation fee removed and confirm that the amount is zero. After confirmation, you may proceed with payment.
- Starting from the second semester of the 2023-2024 academic year, the Executive Yuan will provide subsidies for on-campus dormitory fees for local students. General students will receive a NT$5,000 subsidy for semester dorm fees, while students from middle-low and low-income families will receive NT$7,000. The subsidy will be directly deducted from your accommodation fee. Please verify that the amount on your tuition payment form is correct.
- Only semester dorm fees are subsidized; summer accommodation fee will not be coverd.
- If your enrollment status is overseas Chinese or international, but you hold Republic of China nationality, please send the image of your ROC ID card to the NTU Student Housing Service Division.
- For students moving in or out during the semester, the subsidy amount will be calculated based on the number of weeks of residence.
- Students from low-income families and publicly funded students will continue to have their semester dorm and summer accommodation fees fully covered.
- For students from middle-low-income families, the semester dormitory fees will be reduced by NT$7,000, while the summer accommodation fees will continue to be reduced by 30%.
- If you have any concerns about the fee amount, please do not make a payment before contacting the Student Housing Service Division for clarification.
- Summer Accommodation Fee Payment & Refund Policy:
- The summer accommodation fee will initially be included in your tuition payment form. However, exchange students, Taipei City and New Taipei City short-term residents, and students living in the Freshmen Women Dorm or 1st Men Dorm are ineligible for summer accommodation. Those who require summer accommodation must apply separately.
- The summer accommodation period begins on June 15 (Sunday), 2025, and ends on August 9 (Saturday), 2025. Graduating students and those whose accommodation periods have expired must move out before August 9. Other residents may continue their stay.
- If you move out before June 9 (Saturday), vacate your room, and return your key, the summer accommodation fee will be fully refunded.
- If you move out after June 15 (Sunday), your summer accommodation fee will be refunded based on the number of remaining weeks of accommodation. Each week is counted from Sunday to Saturday, and any period shorter than one week will still be considered a full week for refund calculations.

- Semester accommodation fee period: February 9 – June 14 (18 weeks)
- Summer accommodation fee period: June 15 – August 9 (8 weeks)

Frequently Asked Questions about Summer Accommodation Withdrawal & Refund
I've already paid my summer accommodation fee, but I realized I don't need to stay during the summer. What should I do?
-->Go to NTU Student Housing Website and select “Application for Summer Accommodation Withdrawal” or “Application for Dorm Withdrawal” to check out and apply for a refund.
Which option should I choose: “Application for Summer Accommodation Withdrawal” or “Application for Dorm Withdrawal”?
--> Choose “Application for Dorm Withdrawal” if you are:
- A graduating student or
- A student not returning to the dormitory after summer.
Your summer accommodation fee will be fully or partially refunded, and your deposit will be refunded as well.
-->Choose “Application for Summer Accommodation Withdrawal” if:- You will not stay in the dorm during summer but will return to the same room in the fall.
Your summer accommodation fee will be fully or partially refunded accordingly.
- The “Application for Summer Accommodation Withdrawal” opens on May 1.
- You will be able to move back in one week before the fall semester starts.
What should I do if I am not staying in the dorm during the summer?

- Return your key before June 14
I already know I won't be staying in the dorm during summer. Do I still have to pay the accommodation fee now?
-->Yes, please pay the accommodation fee first. It will be refunded after your withdrawal application is approved and you have moved out.
How do I apply for summer accommodation if I live in the Freshmen Women Dorm or 1st Men Dorm?
-->The dormitory directors of these two dorms will announce the application process near the end of the spring semester. Once your application is approved, you only need to complete the payment.
